Donated Computers Put to Good Use

OneLink, a Westlake company that provides document management and outsourced IT services, recently donated 20 computers and other technology equipment to Rocky River High School’s Computer Club.  A number of the computers were also donated by Workflow.com, a Rocky River company specializing in software solutions for healthcare, and by the West Side Catholic Center.

Computer Club advisor and technology teacher Eugene Andres is delighted with the donation.  “The donated computers will be used for a variety of things. Some will be given to families in the district who do not have access to a computer at home.  Some of the computers will become training stations for students in the computer club, and others will be used for spare parts.  Having a variety of models to work on will give our students a wider range of experience.”

“Businesses typically update their equipment every 5-7 years.  These computers are still perfectly functional and we’re pleased that they will be put to good use,” said DeWayne Ashcraft, founder and president of OneLink.  Ashcraft has also offered to provide the RRHS Computer Club with some hands-on inservice opportunities.
